What we read from your page
Most store pages describe the product twice: once for shoppers, and once for machines in structured data (schema.org Product markup) and Open Graph tags — the markup search engines read. ProductToReel reads that markup first, so the video starts from what your page already says:
- Name — from the Product markup, the og:title tag or the page's main heading.
- Description — from the Product markup or og:description; on Amazon, the feature bullets.
- Price — from the offer in the Product markup or the product:price tags, when the page shows one.
- Photos — the images in the markup and the og:image tags, plus full-size links from the product gallery. We keep up to six and pick from them shot by shot.
- Page text — the first few thousand characters of the page's main text, so the script can use details such as materials or sizes.
You can try it on our demo product page: a plain page with Product markup and one photo. Our example videos were made from it.
Stores that work
Product pages on Shopify, Amazon, Etsy and WooCommerce work — the reader knows each platform's page markup — and so do most other pages that show one product with its photos. Link to a single product: a category page, search results or a home page gets “We couldn't find a product on that page”.
Some stores block automated visitors, and some build their product details in the browser with scripts we don't run. If a page won't load or has no usable photos, switch the form to Upload photos: add 1–3 photos (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB each) and a sentence about the product, and everything else works the same. When the page had text but no photos, the form keeps the name and description we found.
What happens next
About 20 seconds after you paste the link, three storyboards appear, each on a different angle. A storyboard is the plan for one video:
- Hook — the line on screen at the start.
- Voice-over — the script the AI voice reads, written from your page.
- Shot plan — which of your photos each shot uses, and how the camera and the scene move.
- Call to action — the line on the end card.
Storyboards are free and need no sign-up. To see one move, sign in with your email: a 10-second preview of the first storyboard (720×1280, watermarked) is free and takes about a minute. Three credits render all three as 1080×1920 videos in 3–6 minutes, ready to download as MP4.
What we don't do
- We don't invent features, reviews, ratings, customer counts, awards, discounts or statistics: the script writer is told to use only what your page says.
- The writer is also told to leave out claims an ad shouldn't repeat, such as medical cures or promised results, even when your page makes them.
- The shot-plan writer is told never to add people, hands or other products: the camera and the scene move around your product as photographed.
- We don't touch your store: we read the public page like a visitor would, with no login, API key or app to install. Anonymous storyboards are deleted after 24 hours, and we don't use your content to train AI models (privacy policy).
The script is still an AI draft of your page. Read every claim before you post, and label the video as AI-generated wherever you publish it: TikTok's ad policy requires the AIGC label or a clear disclaimer on ads that are fully generated or significantly edited with AI (TikTok ads policy, April 2026).
