What AI UGC is, in four formats
UGC, user-generated content, means ads that look like a person filmed them on a phone. AI UGC replaces the filmed creator with a generated one. ProductToReel's AI UGC generator comes in three strengths, beside the plain product video; pick one per product:
| Format | Who is on screen | Credits | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product video | Your product alone, animated from your photos, with an AI voice-over | 1 | Any product, including categories presenters aren't offered for |
| Presenter + product | A presenter, stock or an AI avatar of you, says the hook and the call to action to camera; your product plays in between | 2 | A face in the first seconds |
| Product in hand | The presenter holds your product while speaking | 3: looks 1 + video 2 | Small products a person can hold: cosmetics packs, gadgets, bottles, accessories |
| Hands only | AI hands hold your product with no face; a narrator speaks | 3: looks 1 + video 2 | Faceless, point-of-view ads: cosmetics, shoes, bags |
Every format is a 1080×1920 MP4 with burned-in captions, music and an end card, and starts from three free storyboards with different hooks.
AI UGC ads with a face
The presenters come from a fixed library of 16 synthetic people, women and men in their 20s, 30s and 40s, filmed like creators in kitchens, living rooms, home offices, bedrooms and a studio. None is a real person. Hear each voice and pick one, or let the storyboard match one. Or make an AI avatar of yourself and pick “You”.
- Hook to camera. A face opens the video, the pattern UGC ads are built on.
- Your product in the middle. The voice carries on over clips animated from your own photos.
- Call to action to camera. The presenter closes, and the end card names your product.
- For your brand. The presenter presents your product, never as a customer of it.
With Product in hand, you first buy looks for 1 credit, stills of your presenter holding your product, and pick one before paying 2 credits for the video. The held product is an AI depiction made from your photo, so its label and small print are shown from your real photo. A presenter's free preview, about 10 seconds long, takes about a minute, and its video 3–4 minutes.
Faceless UGC with AI hands
With Hands only, AI hands hold your product and no face appears anywhere: a narrator speaks for your brand, never as a customer. You choose the hands, the grip and the setting in looks for 1 credit, the video costs 2, and your real photo shows the label and small print in between.
A spokesperson, never a customer
The FTC says there's “no blanket prohibition” on AI avatars in marketing (FTC), and its rule bans fake reviews and testimonials, AI-generated ones included. Its Endorsement Guides also cover endorsers that only appear to be real people (Federal Register): someone presented as a consumer must be one, or be clearly disclosed as not. So our presenters speak for your brand, as a spokesperson does: what the product is, what's in it and how it works, never as someone who bought or uses it, never claiming results or speaking for anyone else. Scripts that drift into a customer's words or a result, like “it cleared my skin”, are rewritten before you see them, for Hands only narrators too.
Some products shouldn't be sold by a face at all. Presenters and AI hands aren't offered for health, beauty-result, weight-loss, finance, crypto, gambling, alcohol or adult products, or for ads outside English, Spanish, German, Turkish and Portuguese: those get product videos.
Change it in words, download it your way
Once you've bought credits, type under a finished video what should change, and you see the new script next to the old one, with its price, before anything renders. The on-screen hook, the call to action and the music change free, 5 times per paid video in its first 6 days, as does every word of a product or Hands only voice-over; new presenter lines or another voice need new takes, for 1 credit, as does a new shot.
Each paid video downloads as the MP4 with captions and its captions as an SRT file, and for 6 days also as a copy without burned-in captions.
Label AI UGC where you post it
TikTok requires fully AI-generated or significantly edited ads to carry its AI-generated content label or a clear disclaimer, caption, watermark or sticker, and rejects or restricts undisclosed AI content (TikTok Ads policy); its built-in disclaimer adds a text label at the bottom of the video (TikTok Ads Help). Switch it on for every presenter or hands video. In the EU, a realistic AI person in an ad can count as a deep fake, which the advertiser must disclose (EU AI Act, Article 50(4)).
Meta adds its own “AI info” label when its tools put a photorealistic AI-generated person into an ad, and says it detects signals such as C2PA metadata from other tools (Meta newsroom). Every ProductToReel video carries C2PA Content Credentials that mark it as AI-generated, but Meta may not label your ad from them, so don't rely on it: label the video as AI-generated in the ad text yourself.
